The Buckeye State has been plague with continued drought conditions and these conditions will likely continue, with little improvement.

The latest drought monitor shows most of Ohio (roughly 96%) seeing drought conditions. Of that 96%, 78% of the state is seeing moderate drought conditions. This will likely continue to be the trend. Taking a look at the projected precipitation for the next 7-days from the National Weather Service Weather Prediction Center, although we will see some rain, we will not see much. Most locations are expected to see less than 1 inch of rain. This may bring some relief but not much.

Luckily, the latest Monthly precipitation outlook for July does show precipitation chances will be above normal, meaning, the normal precipitation will likely be just above through the month of July.

Hopefully with that being said, we can chip away or at least dwindle our drought conditions for Ohio.
