MONITORING LAKE EFFECT SNOW EVENT -- 11/26/23

Good Afternoon everyone! I am currently keeping my eyes on a potential lake effect snow event that will likely impact portions of our area.


A Winter Storm Watch continues from late tonight through late Tuesday Night for Ashtabula, Cuyahoga, Geauga, and Lake Counties in northeast Ohio.


Weather Alerts for NE Ohio

Lake effect snow is expected to develop late tonight and continue through Monday and Tuesday. The heaviest snow is expected to fall Monday Night and into Tuesday Morning, with snowfall rates of 1-2" per hour possible


Lake effect snow forecast

Snow accumulations in the watch area will vary due to banding, but generally the watch area could see snow amounts range from 4-12" with locally higher totals east of Cleveland.

In addition, winds could gust as high as 35 mph at times, resulting in blowing snow and reductions in visibility.
